We provide home boarding because we recognise that many dog owners feel that putting their dog in kennels is not something which they are comfortable doing. Our aim is to provide holiday accommodation which is a world away from kennels.
We provide a comfortable, loving and most of all, safe, home boarding for your dog, where he/she will have the run of our home and be treated as our own dog. (Many of our home boarders return to us time after time, and when they run into the house upon arrival, with their tail wagging we know we have achieved our goal to provide a home from home for our furry guests.)
Because we only board one dog at a time, Happy Paws Home Boarding suits dogs of all ages and temperaments; we can tailor individual care to suit them; for puppies and younger dogs we can continue with their owner's training and socialising, for more energetic dogs we can take them on beautiful countryside walks, and for the more mature dogs we can offer gentle strolls around the village.
Some dogs take a little longer to settle in in a new environment when they first arrive for their holiday. We recognise this and, because we have now lots of home boarding experience, we know of many ways in which we can to help him/her settle in.
From the moment you drop your dog off on arrival day at Happy Paws Home Boarding we will take him/her for a walk to get rid of any nervous energy, and on return from the walk your dog can do whatever makes him/her comfortable, whether that be to wander off and find a quiet space, join us for cuddles on the sofa, or simply have 40 winks. We believe it is important to allow dogs to settle in in their own way and in their own time.
We also recognise that by maintaining your dog's usual daily routine we will help him/her to feel less anxious about being in a new environment so we will ask you beforehand about his/her usual feeding times, exercise routines, bedtime etc. (We ask that you provide the necessary food, toys, treats, bedding etc. for your dog's stay so that he/she can take comfort from having familiar items around them.)
During your dog's stay with us we will send you regular photographs and updates so that you can be reassured knowing that your dog has settled in with us and is having a great time. Below are some of the photos which we have sent to owners whilst they have been away, along with some of the feedback from our customers:

I have learnt an important lesson this week thanks to James and Betsy… don’t rush along on a walk; amble along, listen to the birds and enjoy the moment… these two walk along at a snail’s pace, and I rather enjoyed going at their speed.
James and Betsy, as always, have been a joy to have stay, I just need to broach the subject of very loud snoring with Betsy now

We’re going to miss Lance, although it’ll be nice not to have him creeping INTO my bed when he thinks I’m fast asleep at 2am.
See you soon our little French chien. x

Poppy had a pretty rough start in life, and wasn’t cared for as she should have been, but thankfully she now has a lovely new family who simply adore her, and will do anything to make sure she has a happy life.
And what an amazing little girl Poppy is! Because of COVID her stay with us had been delayed, but when she was eventually able to came to stay she put on her brave face and soon settled in to her new surroundings with her new human friends.
Well done Poppy! You have been a little treasure!

As a licensed dog home boarder I have to keep a diary of the daily exercise and enrichment for each dog who is staying with us... well Teddy's has to be the best diary yet! A walk up the Malverns, a visit to the pub, making friends - with our friend and neighbour who Teddy barks at when he’s in our garden, but is happy to cuddle up to at the pub!, helping us to greet lots of visitors who came to wish Robin happy birthday on Sunday, and a day out at Westonbirt Arboretum. Time to go home for a rest I think Ted. x
We've got ourselves an Oscar!! Maybe not the Hollywood sort, but this one is just as precious.
Thanks to cancelled holidays due to you know what, Oscar, the cavapoo, hasn't been to stay with us for a couple of years, but you would never have known... on arrival he headed straight into the garden to check that everything was as he had left it, and then spent his whole holiday being my side-kick, not leaving my side once. See you very soon little superstar

Well, I can't believe it, but we've opened our doors for the 150th time to welcome a guest doggy!
And the guest who helped us to mark this occasion is beautiful Tatty. Wow, have we walked some miles and thrown some balls for her during her stay, and every step and every throw has been worth it because it is a spectacular sight to see her running across the fields at such speed.
See you soon Tats. x

I have a lump in my throat whilst I type this post, because after a fortnight holiday, Tilly has just gone home. We have packed so much in, dinner with friends, competing in a country show, river walks, a visit to Cheltenham Racecourse, and so much more.
My lap will feel very empty this evening... until next time Tilly Willy (which is what the compere called her in the show ring... the cheering from the crowd, who seemed to take Tilly to their hearts, more than made up for it though). xx

When she last came to stay with us, two months ago, Winnie Whirlwind, as we named her, was 9 months old and still very much a puppy and we had to have a watchful eye over her all of the time, especially in the garden as she was determined to eat the bumble bees. Well what a difference two months has made... her goal in life now is to be cuddled... and that’s all she wants in the world. This little girl has blossomed and everyone who meets her immediately falls in love. She is no longer Winnie Whirlwind, just wonderful Winnie.
Ah Ted, there are a few things in life which he is wary of, such as nasty washing machines, and many things he adores, particularly squeaky balls and jets of water, and now his new found love... porridge. We know that Ted can be nervous in some situations but with reassurance and encouragement, and a cuddle if, in Ted’s eyes, it all goes wrong... he can be quite brave.
Oh Winnie, you have been like a little whirlwind this last week, cuddly, excited, eating everything in your wake on walks (but sniffing edible tidbits, like toast, very suspiciously), worrying me sick every time you closely inspected every bumblebee in the garden, venturing to hidden parts of the garden and always coming out triumphantly with a small stick or the end of a bamboo cane to chomp on, and loving, with all of your heart, every person and dog who you met. The house will be quieter without you, and my lap will be emptier in the evenings, but we'll see you soon little Winnie Whirlwind. xx
"What a relief to have found this home from home for short stays for our fur baby. Marian truly went above and beyond to make Winnie’s stay a happy adventure . . . showering her with love and one to one attention. I was nervous leaving her for the first time but was kept updated every day with photos and stories of the daily antics and soon felt at ease. Nothing was too much trouble for Marian. . grooming, training, walks in the park, cuddles on the sofa and never being left alone for a minute. . Could not have asked for more. We are absolute thrilled to have found this caring and nurturing holiday home for our pup. Thankyou so much! Winnie is already looking forward to her next stay."
Tatty's been back for a weeklong holiday, and this time we've been concentrating on her heelwork, but as it turns out her heelwork is perfect... it's just that when Robin comes with us on a walk she knows a full-on game of fetch is imminent; he is an excellent ball thrower, and Tatty's tennis ball is her world, and so she is bouncing with excitement as soon she sees Robin putting his shoes on and that's when she pulls on her lead - it's like holding on to a train!
But when only I take her out on my own (I am known for my rubbish ball throwing skills), she walks alongside me as if she's in a Crufts showring.
These little dogs all have their own ways - and half the fun is working them out.
See you soon Tats. xx

Ruby’s been back for a week-long holiday... when she first came to us 3 years ago she was anxious about the world, and was quite a fiery little girl... it was her way of dealing with her worries, but with maturity, and lots of gentle reassurance and encouragement she is improving all the time.
Our teckel never liked going to kennels. She is rather feisty and not known for obedience. She is always delighted to go and stay with Marian who takes her out on day trips and visits and generally looks after her so well we have to prise our baby out of the house when we get back from our holidays. From the evidence of the photos we receive, it looks as if she often has a better holiday than we do. Thank you Marian for taking such care with our Ruby.
Today we waved puppy Winnie off after she spent her first holiday with us this week... we were sad to see her go home, but so so happy that she settled in beautifully, throwing herself wholeheartedly into fun, games, new friendships and adventures... and even a holiday romance with the handsome Dudlee who was spending the week with our next door neighbours. Winnie you have been a joy and I will miss not having your company and our chats when I pop to the loo, shower or bath...see you soon for your next holiday sweetie. x

During lockdown - we had very bad dog withdrawal symptoms during lockdown so to fill that little gap we borrowed Biscuit who lives down the road from us, and we went off exploring the local countryside together.
The pace has slowed a bit in our house this week, with the arrival of our senior boarders, Rocky and Ruby.
They’re on low fat diets now due to health problems, so no treats this week sadly... until I dished up sweet potato with peas for a lunchtime treat.

"As ever thank you so very much. You are more appreciated than you realise. Knowing my babies are safe and happy means the world xxx"
Enrichment is the new buzz word in dog care so we jam-pack our boarders’ holidays with it... Teddy’s latest holiday was no exception... a picnic up Bredon Hill, a new friend round to play, dinner at our nephew’s new flat in Cheltenham and of course lots of walks knee deep (for Teddy) in the autumn leaves.
"Thank you once again for taking such good care of our boy and for you loving him like your own, we are so grateful teddy loves spending time with you both I can tell that by how happy he is in all the pictures and how excited he gets when we turn up to drop him off too you xx"
Sausage dog time! Ruby has been to stay with us a few times over the last 3 years. In the past she sometimes struggled to relax, and often made up her own entertainment . With lots of encouragement to take time out and just be, and being quietly praised when she chose to just settle down to watch me make tea or when Robin and I sat down in the evening to watch TV, she has nailed it!
She’s mellowed into a lovely little girl who even fell asleep on my lap several times during this last week... a first for Ruby.
Pitville Park today though, with its numerous squirrels is another story! OMG they were everywhere... it drove poor Rubes nuts.

Martie has been to stay, and the week has whizzed by. We’ve had lots of trips out, hunted for frogs in the garden (well Martie has ) and even squeezed in a visit to Pets at Home (Martie was delighted when she sniffed out a rogue biscuit from the loose biscuit section.. an unexpected snack!). Her favourite part of the day though was when uncle Robin came downstairs each morning (I think she forgot he was in the house and was beside herself with joy when he appeared in his dressing gown ). We’re going to miss you Martiepants... until next time xx
This little girl has the manners of a princess... if I gave her a slice of cucumber she would take it away with her to discretely place in the garden rather than turning her nose up at it, and each night she curled up next to my pillow, with her head just on the edge so that there was room for me to get into bed. But my favourite thing about Tilly was that if she was unsure about something she would come and sit on my knee whilst she decided if she was going to be brave... more often than not cuddles won over bravery and she’d choose to stay put.
Tilly you are a real little lady and we miss you already. x

"Thanks once again for taking such good care of her. You understand her perfectly. She is currently curled up on my knee. xx"
This week’s house guests... the gorgeous feather-collecting, duvet-diving, cuddly Betsy, and the gentle, quiet, wide eyed James.
They have been to us a few times now and, in the nicest possible way, it’s like having a comfy pair of old slippers in the house, they just fit perfectly.

"They both always have a lovely holiday with you. Thanks Marian xx"
Look who’s been staying with us for the past three weeks... the ever so dainty, ridiculously cute Martie (and she still barks at the opening credits of Emmerdale and Corrie to let us know it’s starting). See you soon Martiepants xx
"Martie loves staying with her Auntie Marian and Uncle Robin and she knows they will spoil her rotten. Thank you both xx"
Little Teddy's been back for a long weekend, so that his mum and dad could do their Christmas shopping without his 'help'😂 😍We packed lots in, including a walk to the top of Bredon hill (where there was a pheasant shoot; the men had some immaculately trained labs and spaniels, but that didn't phase Ted... he marched straight through the middle of them with his little head held high - quite right too!!).
We had a visit to the Gardener's Arms in Alderton too (where they have a menu just for dogs!) to get us all into the Christmassy mood.
I had a bit of a lump in my throat today when Teddy left us... but we'll see you next year Teddy Bear xx.

"Thank you so much for everything you have done for our Teddy he had amazing time, we love you lots xxx"
Looks who’s been to stay, the ever so delicate, ever so elegant Phoebe. Handily, especially after this week’s wet weather, she doesn’t do rain, she does however sleep... (I read online that whippets can sleep for 20 hours a day... at the time I didn’t believe it... Phoebe has proved me wrong) x
Well Tatty's had four days with us, and four baths! But the fun we've had on muddy walks on Bredon Hill and splashing in the flooded fields around Bredon made it all worthwhile. Thanks for some lovely walks Tatty - you make even the wettest of walks a real pleasure.
Rocky and Ruby have holidayed with us lots of times now and they happily switch back into holiday mode as soon as they set paw over the threshold. They have their favourites too - Ruby always choosing to climb on to Robin's lap, whereas Rocky is forever my shadow. Their favourite pastimes are travelling in the car and keeping a close watch out of the window for any unsuspecting dog that they can bark at, eating roast dinners and playing with squeaky balls. What more could any dog want from their holiday. xx
"Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for looking after our precious fur babies so brilliantly. You are beyond anything anyone could ask for and like I said earlier ‘I miss them but I don’t worry about them!’ That says it all... xxxx
We’ve run (well Tatty ran, we just threw a ball) through corn fields, alongside rivers, and around the countryside at Cheltenham racecourse over the passed two weeks. Tatty has made so many friends during her holiday with us. It amazes me how she can run like a cheetah, catch a ball like her life depends on it, and then be as gentle as a lamb when somebody needs her to be. Tatty, you are one special girl 💕
Owner Kate: "Thank you so much for taking such good care of our Tatty. You’re her home from home."
Owner Peter: 2I'll reiterate the comments from Kate. Thanks so much for taking such care of Tatty... she's one in a million and means everything to us. I was relieved that she nearly knocked me over when I collected her last night, as I was a little concerned that she might have traded my affections for those of that 'cad' Robin."

James and Betsy have just come to the end of their two week summer holiday, and they have been a complete joy, settling in like they've never been away. The more we get to know our returning doggies, the harder it's getting to give them back. I'm sure my neighbours must laugh at me when they see me kissing the dogs goodbye and waving them off
"They love staying with you. Always such a happy stay for them. Thank you xx"
We have a handful of guest dogs, whose owners have given permission for me to let them off their lead on a walk, and little Tilly is one of them. I waited for a couple of days before I unclipped the lead on a walk, to ensure that Tilly and I had bonded, but I needn't have worried - Tilly has a recall second to none, and walks closer to me off the lead than on it. In the absence of her family, Tilly has stuck to me like glue. I have loved being her temporary mummy, we've had so much fun together, and I cannot wait for more fun on her next holibobs!! xx
"Thank you so much for looking after her again for us. It’s just brilliant knowing she is having fun whilst we are away and loved like we love her"
Our garden looked like a ball pit during Teddy's holiday, and I couldn't even look at the garden sprinkler without him quivering and staring into the sprinkler holes expectantly waiting for that first jet of water. He has a personality the size of a house, a passion for roast chicken and Yorkshire puddings and adores a lie in with uncle Robin. He may be tiny but Teddy has left us with a very big hole now that he's gone home. See you soon Tedward! x
"Thank you so much for looking after him he loves you all so much xx"
At the beginning of her holiday things were not going well for Bo... she hates rain! Then one morning the sun came out and all was well in Bo's world. With her squeaky little noises, the fastest tail wag I've ever seen, and the need to sit at the dining table to keep anyone who is sat there company, she has won everyone over during her holiday with us. x
Bolli is the little girl who, on her first stay with us a couple of years ago, took 3 hours to summon up the courage to emerge from her crate to say hello to us. Well this is Bolli now and during her week long holiday with us her little personality has shone through.
Particularly when we were having coffee in Pitville Park. A very handsome springer spaniel kept walking passed her, I swear raising a saucy eyebrow at her, and let's just say that she was not shy about giving him the glad eye. I did have words with her about perhaps playing a little harder to get, and not caving in instantly whilst gazing at a handsome boy over the communal water bowl! Bolli we adore you. You really have blossomed into a lovely little girl. PS I'll get that springer's number for you.

So, it seems sausage dogs are notorious for being a little, ummm, difficult and stubborn, and this is how Ruby and I began her one week holiday with us. But over the week she has really mellowed, and for the last three mornings I have come downstairs, made a cuppa, and sat on the floor in my dressing gown and she has climbed on my lap for a cuddle. This is a huge step forward for Ruby and made me very proud of her. The only problem is that I then didn't have the heart to move and crikey does the floor get hard after an hour, especially when you're waiting for you husband to appear to make a second cuppa 🤣☕️☕️.
These two little characters have been on their holibobs with us for the last two weeks, and what fun they've been! We've been walking them separately as Foxy (the black and white handsome boy) prefers to amble along and enjoy the scenery on his walks, whereas little Lexi likes to skip in delight from one smell to the other, at a much faster speed.
We're really going to miss these two characters, and especially their little faces when they're sat patiently waiting for me outside the bathroom door. x

Meet the happiest dog in the world - Oscar.During his week long holiday with us, Oscar's day always started with a waggy tail when I opened my eyes in the morning. It wagged at bedtime at the prospect of bedtime cuddles before lights out, and it wagged for the whole day in between. I'm convinced that the only thing going through his head is, "happy, happy, happy". Oscar you have been an absolute joy.
Cocker madness has hit the Wilson household this last week! Poppy and Willow have taken it upon themselves to keep me company every minute of every day during their holibobs with us... going to the loo on my own will feel very lonely from now on without these two.
"Fab photos again. So reassuring when on holiday to see our girls having a great time."
James (the handsome brown and white one) has been busy chasing birds in the garden, charming some friends who came to dinner on Sunday, and giving the veterinary nurse the benefit of those beautiful big brown eyes while she tried various lamp shade collars on him to stop him scratching his poorly ear (thank you very much to Martin and Carr Vets for the loan!!). Betsy's week has consisted of collecting feathers!!It's a very quiet house now that they've gone home, but we'll see them both soon for more fun. xx
"Thank you for looking after them so well Marian. They are both sound asleep after their busy week. They are looking forward to visiting you soon. xx"
I thought that once I got to this stage of home boarding, where all of the dogs who come to stay are returners who we know really well, and who know and trust us, that home boarding would be a breeze. And in many ways it is, but what I didn't think about was the more that we get to know each little character, the more we love them and the harder it becomes to say goodbye at the end of their holiday. Our latest little heartbreaker is Milo. We have had a lovely long weekend with this quiet gentle little soul, who is such a character. Come back soon Milo, we're missing you already xx
Toby has been with us for three weeks and what a happy soul he's been. He's been log jumping at Pitville Park, kept a beady eye on the workmen in the house, paddled in the pond on Bredon Hill, sniffed his way through the crocuses at Birlingham Church and basked in all the attention that he received from total strangers who admired him during a visit to Tewkesbury. See you soon you happy little bouncy boy xx
"Wonderful photos Marian and every picture tells a story. He’s explored many new places and experiences with you and Robin and his happy face just shows how much fun he was having. Your care for our boy was second to none and I can’t thank you enough for loving and caring for him during our absence and for us to come back to one extremely happy dog is a delight!! Until next time! Xxx"
So, little Oscar hasn't been to stay for a while, and as he has a big holiday with us coming up in a few months time, his mum booked him in for a long weekend so that he could reacquaint himself with us. The wind yesterday freaked us both out a bit so we played indoors all day, so today we took a drive over to Pitville Park and, as his mum told me Oscar enjoys a Sunday lunch, we rounded his stay off with a special roast. Perfect weekend. x
"Awe thank you he has slept since being home just lifting his head occasionally to see if we are still here. "
The delightful demure Phoebe has returned, as delicate and quiet as ever.Having a dog who takes herself quietly off to our bed in the middle of the afternoon for a nap is usually unheard of as our boarding guests usually stick to us like glue, but Phoebe always headed back down the stairs again an hour or so later when she heard the strike of a match and the woodburner door being opened, ready to claim her spot in front of the fire. x
This was Bolli's fourth holiday with us, and she has really blossomed since first arriving with us as quite a nervous 8 month old puppy. Now 2 years old, this bouncy little girl came flying in to our house on arrival for her holiday; her new found confidence is a joy to see, and means that she now comes with me to explore Bredon Hill with lots of enthusiasm and an ever wagging tail.
Martie has been with us for 3 weeks and was quite shy when she first arrived, but since then she has blossomed and her real character has come out.
She barked at the tv when Emmerdale or Corrie came on (always handy if you're out of the room and want to catch the beginning), made lots of new friends on our walks around the village, came with me to visit some neighbours, who have recently lost their elderly dog, and cheered them up no end by pottering around their house as if she lived there, and we discovered a new walk down by the river together.
Martie you're such a sweet natured little girl and you have been an absolute joy - we're going to miss you. xx

January 2019 - Welcome back Poppy - our first little guest of 2019 and the first guest of the year to climb in to bed with us last night (well it was freezing cold and she was so cuddly, and I just couldn't resist). See you soon Pops!!
December 2018 - So our last dog of 2018; the adorable Tilly, who not only looks gorgeous but smells of strawberry yoghurt, thanks to the detangling spray that she brought with her for her stay. Tilly loves a routine and these photos show Tilly's typical day perfectly. See you next year Tilly Twinkle Toes xx
"Leaving Tilly with Marian is like leaving her with a family member who loves her as much as us. It’s so reassuring to get updates and photos of the fun she gets up to whilst she is with Marian and means we can enjoy our holiday knowing she is happy and well cared for. I have no doubts the next time she sees Marian she will be super excited! My only criticism is she is so good everyone wants their dogs to stay with her!!"
December 2018 - What a treat it's been to have a cocker back in our home for the passed week. We've missed those huge muddy paws, those beautiful ears which collect a multitude of leaves and sticks, and those big eyes that plead with you to share your dinner... it was just like the old days when we had our Harvey. See you soon beautiful Toby x
December 2018 - The ever so elegant Phoebe has been gracing us with her presence for the last couple of weeks. Needless to say either the woodburner or the heating has been on permanently to keep this dainty little creature warm. 3am won't be the same without this little girl bounding up the stairs for cuddles because the woodburner in the lounge has finally gone cold. She has been a pleasure but I have to say, walking such a delicate little dog around on the end of a lead has made me feel as light footed and dainty as Shrek!! 🤣🤣
November 2018 - This was Teddy's third holiday with us, and he soon got back into his holiday morning routine... visit to the garden, cuddle time in front of BBC Breakfast (signalled by my cup of tea), breakfast (he would only eat his when I was eating mine), then back upstairs where Teddy would hop on our bed and wait for me to have my shower. I'm going to miss our little routine - come back soon Teddy for more BBC Breakfast and adventures in the woods x
November 2018 - What a treat it's been to have Tatty again, this time for 10 days - the weather has been beautiful and we've certainly put some steps in around Bredon Hill and through the local fields. She and Robin have completely fallen in love with each other but she agreed to head out of the house to keep me company when she saw me putting my wellies on (and always leapt straight on to Robin's lap on our return to the house to show how much she loved him). x
October 2018 - You may well think that standards have improved at Happy Paws and that dogs are now dressing for dinner... but no, we collected Albie and Herbie from Albie's mum and dad's wedding, where these two were the star performers in the wedding photos! In keeping with the day, we 'chauffeured' them back to our house and they settled in with us as if they'd been for holidays with us a hundred times before, when in fact this was their first time. Well done you two for settling in so quickly and for keeping me warm in bed last night!! xx
"Cannot say how amazing Happy Paws Home Boarding was for our boys. It was our wedding day and had nobody to have the dogs, we didn’t want to put them in a kennel as they are our babies in came happy paws. It was like Home from home for them. Thank you so much Marian we had 2 happy boys this morning "
October 2018 - So this last week was a little bit different because Poppy came for her holidays and we both stayed in my friend's house for the week. Poppy was great company; cuddling up in front of the fire with me, messing around in the leaves in the garden and sharing the odd digestive biscuit made for a perfect week. Thanks for your company little Poppy... see you soon xx
"Marian has done a wonderful job of looking after my daughter's nervous cavalier, Poppy, whilst she was away for the second time. Marian has so much care and love for Poppy we know she is in the safest hands. Thank you Marian!! Xx"
October 2018 - As part of the Boarding Licence conditions we have to have written permission from a dog's owner before we can let them off the lead whilst out on a walk. Tatty's mum has given us such permission, and since Tatty has a passion for tennis balls, we thought we'd head out to the fields of Little Comberton where there were no distractions and she could play until her heart's content. Because I am particularly rubbish at throwing balls Robin felt sorry for Tatty and joined us 🤣
October 2018 - Meet Tilly! Tilly is due to come on her holidays with us in a few months time, and so today, because she is still just a puppy, she came for a little 'let's make friends' day with us. She was such a sweetie, and we got lots of admiring glances when we took her to Pitville Park to snuffle through the leaves. It must be scary being in a new place, especially for a puppy, but Tilly settled in so quickly. Well done for being a big brave girl Tilly - see you soon sweetie xx (Just to say that I loved the tree photo of Tilly so much that I photoshopped her lead out of it just to make it really pretty - as a rule, unless we have written permission to do so, we never let dogs off their leads.)
October 2018 - So all these new regulations may be coming out but at the end of the day we just want to make sure our boarding dogs are safe, happy and settled with us. A great example of this is Rocky and Ruby. They have just had their fourth holiday with us, and boy did they settle in quickly... within 10 minutes of arrival Rocky was fast asleep on the sofa and little Ruby was off in the garden in search of her beloved Robin. There's no greater compliment for us than dogs who settle in like they've never been away ❤️💙
September 2018 - I don't honestly know what we'd have done without little Teddy this week - it has been an awful week for our family after a family bereavement, but this little chap just seemed to know, and cuddled into me that little bit harder, sat next to me that bit closer and just wanted to be there by me constantly. To say you were a comfort Teddy would be an understatement, I love you to bits...Susan and Antony you have such a special little dog and I can't wait for his next holiday in a couple of months.
"Teddy has stayed with Marian and Robin twice now, first time for 4 days and last time for 9 days. Teddy had never been away from me before I was worried but Marian put my mind at rest straight away she sent me pics and messages and vids everyday. You could see how happy he was she took him out for the most amazing walks, she helped him with his food as he's a picky eater she even let him sleep on the bed!! She treated him like her own pet, they both show him so much love care cuddles, I can't thank you both enough for caring for my Teddy as he's my world. I am so lucky we found you and I will always use you as Teddy comes back home so happy =) xxxx"
August 2018 - I wish I'd taken a video of Tatty's arrival at our house on Thursday - she shot in through the front door, wagging from nose to tail, heading straight off to the garden to find her beloved 'Uncle Robin'.We love Tatty to bits (as does everyone who meets her in the village) and I think I'm safe in saying that she enjoys her little holidays with us.
August 2018 - Meet Oscar the Cavapoo… this was his first stay with us, giving him the chance to get to know us, bark at the bin men, test our bed out to make sure there was ample room for him to stretch out all night, and ensure that we gave the required amount of cuddles.
I think he achieved all of the above successfully 🤣

"Oscar has just spent 2 days with Marion & Robin,we were very apprehensive as he has never stayed with anyone else other than family, but needn’t of been as he was thoroughly loved and spoilt rotten,Had lots of adventures and lovely walks,Marion updated us with lots of beautiful photos & messages which reassured us that Oscar was happy and having a great time,we will definitely use Happy Paws again,I can’t recommend Marion enough she is lovely, nothing is too much trouble, very professional, organised and treated Oscar like her own. Thank you Marion and Robin"
August 2018 - My handsome dreamboat, Bracken, has just come to the end of his fortnight holiday with us. We had a bit of a challenge with Bracken (he is a Dog's Trust dog and so his background is a mystery) - he just wouldn't start eating his meals. Despite me almost skipping around with the bowl and using my best excited voice I could not entice him.
I contacted the owner to ask if they had a trigger word to let him know it was ok for him to start eating, but they were flummoxed with his funny food ways as well, saying he was just the same at home too. We tried everything, but to no avail. Then one day I was putting his food out, and for the first time I just told him to sit and wait. When I'd put the food down I tapped his bowl twice and he practically leapt on his food and started eating!!
Phew - we nearly had a very skinny Bracken, but all ended well 🤗🤗🤗🤗

August 2018 - Poppy is such a timid little girl who is very wary of people who she hasn't met before, so coming to stay with us was a big deal for her. We gave her lots of space though and time, and once she'd worked out that we were her friends and we would care for her she soon settled in.
Poppy has been an absolute joy. She has constantly been by my side and even joined me and Robin's grand-daughter, Winnie, when we camped out in the garden overnight. Well done for being a brave girl Poppy. xx

"Absolutely fantastic, I would recommend Marian at Happy Paws to everyone wanting to put their dog into the most safest and kindest home boarding service. The second I dropped my nervous cavalier Poppy off to Marian at Happy Paws I was reassured within seconds that she was in the most loving, comforting and kind home. Before Poppy’s official stay she was invited over to Marian’s on various occasions to allow time to get used to her surroundings and settle in prior to her long stay. After dropping Poppy off officially for her doggy holiday I was notified within minutes on how she was doing and settling in. Each day I had messages with updates and photos of Poppy on how she was and what she had been up to that day.. whether it was a tasty treat she was munching on or an evening walk she looked so happy and content during her stay. A definite 100% recommendation!! Xx"
July 2018 - Meet Pickles, a Coton de Tulear (no, I'd never heard of the breed either). But if you want a glamorous little dog who loves nothing more than to give you kisses and cuddles, and lie in the path of a cooling fan for the diva effect, this is the breed for you.I must borrow him more often though - we took him into a showroom in Evesham and I've never had so many men drop at my feet - sadly it was so they could fuss Pickles but I enjoyed the moment any way. 🤣 See you on your next holiday you gorgeous boy. xx
"I cannot thank Auntie Marion and uncle Robin enough, for looking after Pickles for a few days while I was on holiday. I was very apprehensive as I had never left him before, and he is very timid and nervous, but I need not have worried as Pickles was at ease. Marion sent regular Whats App pictures of him so that I could see that he was ok and how well he had settled. Which included a picture of him snuggled up next to Uncle Robin, as he usually barks at men!!! He had lovely walks, a shopping trip, and was totally spoilt. Which proves I need not have worried, and Pickles cannot wait until his next holiday. For this I cannot thank you enough, as your home is now his second home, and I am so lucky to have found you both.
also lots of licks and hugs from Pickles xxx "

July 2018 - When I was originally asked to look after Tatty, and was told she was a springer x collie I thought she was going to be bouncing off the walls - I couldn't have been more wrong. This was Tatty's third holiday with us and she is gentle, loving and totally tuned in to everything we said to her - an absolute joy who we are going to miss hugely. See you on your next holiday sweetie. x
"To say our Sprollie, Tatty, is used to lots of love 💗 and attention is a bit of an understatement! It was our lucky day when Marian and Happy Paws was recommended to us. Marian not only offers a real home from home for your dog but takes time to find out about them and their preferences before they arrive: Where they like to sleep, if they are nervous about anything etc. When we arrive Tatty bounds out of the car to Marian’s front door, tail wagging like mad and waits for her ‘other mum’ to let her in. Tatty knows who her friends are! We don’t worry about her at all when we are away as she is in the best of hands. Pictures and messages to say how she is doing are lovely to receive too. Can’t recommend Marian and Robin highly enough!!"
July 2018 - Little Martie may have only been with us for three days but she soon became my little shadow. There's nobody else I would rather have shared my icecream with yesterday (to be honest I'd rather not have shared it at all but how could I resist that face!).
"Martie loves going to stay with Marian at Happy Paws as she gets spoiled rotten and I’m totally happy that she is taken care of and safe. I like the fact that Marian looks after Martie on a home from home basis and love the messages, updates and special touches."
June 2018 - The lovely Maggie has been to stay again, just for two days and a night while her mum and dad go to a wedding - it was too hot for this lovely elderly lady to do anything other than sit in the shade with me and enjoy a cool drink or two.
June 2018 - It was BBQ weather when Ruby came to stay and there was only one thing for it - out came the sausages - well one little sausage... Ruby (or Ruble this week as a homage to the World Cup).
She may have little legs but that didn't stop her trotting to the top of Bredon Hill (this was before the heatwave). We also visited the Anchor at Wyre Piddle (highly recommended), as well as family and friends. She's had a busy 10 days - it's no wonder she flaked out in the garden 💗.

"Our teckel never liked going to kennels. She is rather feisty and not known for obedience. She is always delighted to go and stay with Marian who takes her out on day trips and visits and generally looks after her so well we have to prise our baby out of the house when we get back frrom our holidays. From the evidence of the photos we receive, it looks as if she often has a better holiday than we do. Thank you Marian for taking such care with our Ruby."
June 2018 - It may have a been a little early for Wimbledon but that didn't stop Herbie throwing himself around the garden with his beloved tennis ball.
"I love the way that Herb runs straight into Marian and Robin's house - he can't get in quick enough to start playing. This really is his second home."
May 2018 - I adore this little boy. Teddy is only 18 months old and was a little bit worried when he first arrived for his holiday. But we've had lots of fun together up Bredon Hill (where Teddy met horses for the first time). He's also 'helped' me to water the garden, we've watched the sun go down over the river together, and Teddy has eaten his body weight in cheesy scrambled egg. Teddy has been my shadow for the last 4 days and I cannot wait for some more adventures with him later in the summer.
"As Teddy is to tired to write after his nice long weekend with auntie Marian and uncle Robin,I thought I would help him out ..
We left him on Friday for 4 days I was worried as I have never left him before with him being so young, but Marian put my mind completely at ease from the first time we met her. Everything was so easy, such as organising his stay, nothing was too much trouble for her even down to his wierd little ways i.e carrot in morning and mad evening playtime even to sleeping in their bed!
She kept us updated daily with amazing pics and messages which kept my mind at ease so much to see Teddy having fun get lots of attention it is lovely that they treat him like their own and he was able to call their home, his home.
I am so grateful for everything you have done for our Teddy and for truly spoiling him he can't wait to stay with you again in September.
I love knowing that Teddy will always be in safe hands when I go away. You are truly angel and thank you so so much from the bottom for our hearts we love you. Lots of love and slobbery kisses."

May 2018 - The gorgeous Martie came to stay with us for a day by way of an introduction to us before her big holiday later in the year. What a sweetie, she instantly became my shadow and almost tiptoed around the house. I cannot wait for her big holiday!
"Martie had a lovely day today thanks, she had a mad 5 minute doodle dash when we arrived home and then crashed! She’s curled up happily on the armchair now, very content after a busy day, thank you for having her. Thanks again to you and Robin for making Martie so welcome."
March 2018 - We are so proud of Bolli. She returned to us for her one week holiday with us and was a litte wary, choosing to peer at us from the safety of her crate. We carried on as usual around the house, keeping things quiet, not making eye contact and eventually she decided that she felt confident enough to come out of her crate. By the end of the week she was bouncing around the house like a puppy and couldn’t cuddle us enough!! Bolli had an ongoing medical complaint when she came to us but we were more than happy to give her her medication and take her for a scheduled check up at the vets.
"We were both delighted with her reaction to seeing you both when we dropped her off. She obviously feels happy to be back with you. We are so lucky to have you."
April 2018 - Lucy and Daisy came to us for a sleepover whilst their mum and dad went to a family wedding.
"Lucy and Daisy absolutely LOVED their stay with Marian. They have never been away from home before and I was very apprehensive about it but no need to be. I was updated with lots of lovely photos of them enjoying themselves. I would highly recommend Happy Paws Home Boarding and most definitely be sending my dogs there again. Thank you so much for taking great care of them and giving them such a good time. xxx."
April 2018 - Rocky and Ruby made a return to Happy Paws and settled in like they'd never been away. Ruby loves nothing more than a cuddle and Rocky is happy plodding around and watching the birds in the garden. We just love these two little characters.
"Thank you for absolutely everything you do for us. I feel so happy knowing they are being spoilt. You are soooooo appreciated."
April 2018 - the gorgeous Tatty came to spend a day with us so that she could re-familiarise herself with us before her big holiday later in the year. We love having Tatty, she is such a gentle girl and is great company on long country walks.
April 2018 - Mylo and Lily returned to us for their third holiday, this time staying with us for a month. It was lovely to have a month of cocker cuddles.
February 2018 - Today we waved goodbye to Toby, the cocker, who returned home after having a weeks holiday with us. We've explored Bredon Hill, gone deer spotting, paddled in any water we could find (well that was more Toby than me and Robin), met lots of new doggy friends around the village, and had two bubbly showers, which Toby seems to quite enjoy 😊🛀, and of course Toby had the traditional Sunday lunch. See you soon Tobes for your next holiday. xx
"Toby has been telling me all about his luxury holiday with Auntie Marian and Uncle Robin at Happy Paws Dog Boarding last week. He had the most wonderful time with lots of exciting walks by the river, paddling in the little stream and drinking the spring water, also exploring Bredon Hill with its many new scents and meeting some new doggy friends. Toby said that he liked helping Uncle Robin out at the football club because he got extra treats as a reward, but of course he had to earn them! Toby especially enjoyed the hotel spa. Lots of bubbles, warm water and Auntie Marian was particularly good at massaging and scratching those out of the way places. Then to top it all wrapped him up in a nice clean warm towel. He wasn’t sure about the pink turban though!! Then on Sunday he had a real grown up’s roast chicken dinner.....what a treat that was, yum, yum!! All in all Toby thoroughly enjoyed his stay with Marion and Robin it was just like home, but even better with lots of cuddles and lovely warm sofas to lounge on. Toby definitely wants to go back and gives this lovely doggy hotel a five star rating. Thank you Marion and Robin for the storyline and photos from day one it was much appreciated and Toby can’t wait for his stay with you again in May. We have one very happy little dog......THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! And it’s a big WOOF and sloppy licks, from Toby xxx"
February 2018 - There's been lots of oohs and ahhs around the village this weekend, and it's all because of this handsome little chap, Alfie. He may look like a rufty tufty little terrier but he enjoys nothing more than a cuddle, and watching the telly whilst chomping on a raw carrot. What a cracking little dog who we look forward to welcoming back for another holiday x
"My dog Alfie just spent two wonderful days being totally loved and pampered by Marian and Robin. He had a fantastic time and 100% preferred his stay there rather than a kennel. Marian is very accommodating and highly professional and I felt totally at ease leaving Alfie there. We will defiantly be using Happy Paws again, we can’t thank you enough, caring for Alfie just how we would have. Xx"
February 2018 - Meet Ruby the dachshund. Ruby has had a busy week with us... burying her carrot snacks in the garden, haring around the lounge at breakneck speed, splodged her was through some muddy countryside walks, played with Tess the pub dog at the Crown in Kemerton, barked at the geese floating passed us on the river, and COMPLETELY hogged the rug in front of the woodburner. What more could any dog want from their holiday?
February 2018 - Betsy and James are as sweet and gentle as they look, but boy do they have another side! These two have discovered a skittle alley for the first time... and I'm not sure if they've watched Peter Kaye's impression of a boy doing a knee slide across a disco dance floor, but that's exactly what these two did, time and time again down the alley - it was hilarious!!! You've got to love doggies with a sense of humour 🤣
"Thank you Marian for looking after James and Betsy this weekend. As always it is so reassuring to know they are having a great time and being so well looked after while we are away."
February 2018 - I think Mikki was trying to drop a hint when she came to stay... apparently I needed to listen to her when she was insisting that she has her tea at 3pm. I don't think that's how the book works Mikki 😍😍.
"From the moment we met Marian I knew Mikki was going to be happy in her charge. Mikki was thoroughly 'at home'...on the sofa and having sleeps with Marian too. No doubt she hogged the wood burner all evening! What better way to have your dog looked after...home from home no kennels X I was able to have a fantastic evening knowing Mikki was truly safe and happy. Thank you xxxx"
January 2018 - Everybody needs a bit of R & R from time to time - not rest and relaxation, but Ruby and Rocky! The two little cuties returned to us and two sweeter dogs you couldn't hope to meet - Ruby's favourite past time is cuddling (night time, daytime and anything in between), whilst Rocky's favourite hobby is playing with as many tennis balls as he can lay his paws on in the garden. Oh and, judging by the speed they ate their Sunday dinners yesterday, I think that may be their second favourite past time!
"Gorgeous photos Marian, thank you so much for everything xxx"
January 2018 - Fred and Ted came to stay for a long weekend, and although they may look identical, both have very gorgeous and very different personalities (and thankfully their mum tied a ribbon to Ted's collar so I could be sure I was giving medication to the correct little boy!). I enjoyed the admiring glances whilst walking around the village but I suspect they were for your handsome boys Gale and Simon 😊😉 xx
"Thank you for looking after the boys and glad you enjoyed their walks. It was lovely to be away knowing they were in your safe hands, thank you again from us all and especially Ted and Fred xxxx"
January 2018 - We fell completely head over heels for Phoebe... even when she tunnelled under the duvet in the middle of the cold frosty nights. The weather was a bit rubbish during her holiday (Phoebe, quite rightly, doesn't do cold and wet) so a few games of doggy lucky dip, training to learn some new tricks and dribbling the treat dispensing ball around the lounge was a much nicer alternative to getting soaked. Phoebe we love you!! x
"I'm so pleased that Phoebe is in such good hands", from Phoebe's daddy who was holidaying in Lanzarote :-)
January 2018 - We looked after little Alfie whilst his mummy and daddy got married 🍾and from the moment he rocketed into our house he has been entertaining us and had us in stitches. The stone gargoyle in the garden spooked him a bit at first, but once Alfie had sorted him out (with a 'scary' bark) all was well. I'm going to miss my tiny white fluffy shadow - come back soon gorgeous little boy x
After being let down two days before our wedding, Marian came to the rescue and luckily was able to have our dog Alfie for the night. I can not be happier with how well looked after Alfie was, Marian sent us pictures throughout his stay with her and he looked right at home. Thank you Marian I think Alfie will be more than happy to come and stay with you again.
January 2017 - Scruffina arrived nice and early, at 7.30am, for her sleepover with us so that her mummy could get to work on time. This gorgeous girl is 11 years old so a couple of short, gentle strolls, around the village and down by the river, were in order on her first day. With breaks in between for me to drink coffee and for Scruffina to snuggle down with her beloved octopus 🐙. After tea she assumed her role as 'look out' for scary animals on the telly, warning us each time with a little, well timed woof. Who's going to protect us now Scruffina? Come back soon!! xx
January 2018 - Within minutes of saying goodbye to her mum when she was dropped off, Tatty sought Robin out, snuggled up on the sofa next to him and stayed put until walkies time.
There's no finer compliment than a returning doggy guest who settles straight back in with us as if they've never been away.
If you could stay longer though Tatty - a few more walks up Bredon Hill and around Kemerton Nature Reserve will help me to wave goodbye to those Christmas pounds!! See you in a couple of months gorgeous girl x

December 2017 - Well I was a complete gooseberry this weekend! Ollie held paws/hands with Robin on the sofa at every opportunity, slept with his head on Robin's shoulder as soon as a Christmas movie started on the tv, and they snuggled up together in bed this morning. Robin even threw an extra log on the woodburner when we went to bed each night, "So that Ollie will be nice and warm in his bed". Come back soon gorgeous boy - Robin is missing you (and me of course but I don't think you'll worry about that too much)
"This was the first time Ollie has been with Happy Paws Home Boarding and we will not hesitate to use Marian again. She obviously loves dogs and treats them like they were her own - Ollie was very well looked after. She updated with videos and photos which gave us a lot of reassurance."
December 2017 - We took this weekend at a much slower pace for our two, more mature, weekend boarders Rocky and Ruby. All Rocky needed was a pipe and some slippers and his weekend would have been complete, whilst dainty Ruby's only heart's desire was to have cuddles and sleep on my head, oh and to have a second Happy Paws Sunday roast! (Thank you to their mum Tracy who wrote the fantastic review below on Rocky and Ruby's behalf!!)
"I'm in charge of the words Marian as Ruby just won't use the right ones and as you know I'm the boss! Well, actually Mummy is as she's a typing this for me as my paws are just too big to use the keyboard. Ruby and me (she had to come too as she doesn't like being on her own) stayed with our new friends Marian and Robin for two sleeps as Mummy and Daddy had to go away which we weren't a happy about. When we saw our belongings going into the car I started a shaking and a worrying as I didn't like it last time this happened..... then oh my dog... my bed went in as well and I just knew what it meant- we were sleeping somewhere else and that meant kennels... But, I was wrong (doesn't happen often) it wasn't kennels at all. It was a lovely house with all my creature comforts and I was allowed to do everything I do at home like asleep on the settee and the bed... the two bestest bits were a roast dinner and a wood burner! It was pure bliss and I saw a man called Robin and he loved me. Ruby says he loved her too but she's an attention seeker so I think he loved me the most.
Marian really looked after us brilliantly and she spoilt us rotten. On Monday I heard my Mummy's car outside and I knew it was time to go home again but I honestly would have stayed there much longer and I would have been really happy there for a couple of weeks as I know Marian would look after us just as well as Mummy does.
It really was the bees knees and we couldn't even give Mummy and Daddy a hard time and sulk when we got home! I know that we will see our new friends again one day as I heard Mummy tell Daddy that it was a perfect place for us to stay and we're happy with that plan too. No scary kennels for us two ever again. Bliss.
Out of 5 stars we are going to give you 5 because you are just the best.
Love, licks, wuffs and paws
From Rocky and Ruby xx

November 2017 - The gorgeous Milo returned to us for his second holiday.
"I'm glad he gets on so well with you. x"
November 2017 - The first Christmas jumper for 2017 has arrived at Happy Paws on the beautiful Bo! She really feels the cold so was very happy to toast herself in front of the woodburner after modelling her sweater on a stroll around the village. ❄️❄️❄️
"Absolutely fantastic place to leave your dog! It really is a home from home. Marian is a lovely person who makes you feel completely at ease. My dog was very well looked after and seemed really settled."
November 20187 - Usually Springers are too big for us here at Happy Paws but when I met this handsome 10 year old gentleman how could I resist! A perfect boy on the lead, who loves his cuddles and let me have a lie in on a Sunday morning - what's not to like! See you in a few weeks Bracken!
"Again just wanted to say a huge thank you for having Bracken, we are so pleased that we have found somewhere that we are happy with but more importantly that Bracken is happy with. He has come home happy and content.
Marian you offer a truly home from home experience when looking after dogs, we are a family who doesn't want to send Bracken to be locked in a kennel at night as he has not been used to that, you have completely looked after him as if he had been at home with us, given him all the love and attention he deserves. Thanks Marian.

November 2017 - Mylo and Lily have returned for another week and filled our house with cocker fun!! If anyone ever needs cheering up just come and sit between these two on the sofa - you can't help but be cheered up! See you next year you two for your BIG holiday.
"Mylo and Lily absolutely love their holidays with Marian, everything runs so smoothly from organizing dates to drop off and pick up which is one less stress when arranging a family holiday. Getting regular updates on how the doggies are doing is much appreciated and it’s lovely to see how comfortable and at home they are. An excellent service from start to finish and can not recommend Marian enough to anyone. I know they are already excited for visit number three!"
We welcomed a new member to the Happy Paws 'family' this weekend, the ridiculously handsome Milo. I thought my hair had a mind of its own but Milo definitely wins the crazy hair competition. What a polite, loveable little boy. See you again in a few weeks with your three legged elephant Nelly x.
"What can I say. Marian was amazing with Milo. He settled so quickly and I felt so relaxed all weekend. Thanks again. See you in a few weeks. Love Milo and Tina."
October 2017 - Bonnie returned to Happy Paws for a week and what a week we had - we tried to catch every leaf being blown around by Storm Brian, checked out the toy selection (and live rabbits) at Pets at Home (guess who came away with a bright pink bone!), enjoyed some very beautiful autumn walks, ate a Sunday roast (although Bonnie thought if she carried her broccoli through to the lounge that she wouldn't have to eat it) and spent a little bit of time on the grooming table for a good brush before going home.
"Thanks for giving Bonnie another lovely stay at yours. Five out of five paw points!"
October 2017 - We've had our first Slumber (Springer x Clumber) spaniel to stay and what a sweetie! Such a gentle, kind girl, who even took it upon herself to act as a PAT dog when I took her to visit a poorly relative. An absolute angel. Come back soon Bess xx
September 2017 - We have had a very special guest this week - little Maggie. Maggie and our late dog, Harvey, met at puppy class nearly 13 years ago, and she has stayed with us regularly throughout her life. Maggie is very special to us and we consider her to be part of our family.
"She's had a lovely time as usual ... I think she's testing me on how many times I will lift her onto the sofa ...she's probably testing us both on who spoils her the most :-) "
September 2017 - We have welcomed our first Yorkshire Terriers to Happy Paws and what cuties they were!!
"I felt so at ease whilst being away knowing they were in such good hands xxx"
September 2017 - This little black beauty recently came to stay at Happy Paws Home Boarding - the most soft, gentle, fun sprollie you could hope to meet. Come back soon little Tatty and we can find that heron at Croome Park and stare him out again!
"Thanks so much for looking after Tatty, Marian. It was a great weight off our mind this weekend knowing that our little girl was being properly taken care of... and your updates were greatly appreciated. Kate and I can't recommend your services highly enough. :)"
September 2017 - Mmmm two 1 year old sprockerpoos for a week - lots of potential for chaos I thought!
I couldn't have been more wrong. We have laughed, cuddled and walked our way through the week with these two bundles of gorgeousness. They were an absolute joy!! Come back soon Bolli Boo and Rubes xx

"I find it difficult to express my gratitude and thanks for looking after 'the girls' so beautifully. I am so lucky to have found you both, you treat guests as your own dogs." Maggie, owner of Bolli and aunty to Ruby.
August 2017 - So whilst his family were off enjoying a day out little Herb came to stay - and we know from passed experience, as long as he has a tennis ball to play with, he is a happy Herb!!
"Just wanted to say a thank you to Happy Paws Home Boarding for having Herbie again.
We saw a free day on the Happy Paws calendar so grabbed it quickly, which meant we could have a leisurely day out without clock-watching, a rare treat.
Not only did our little dog have a fun packed day (I can tell by the way he slept like a log in the evening!) but he'd had a good brush too... he looked like he'd spent the day in a dog spa, all lovely and fluffy.
We'll be checking the HP calendar again in the run up to Christmas... need to get that shopping done!"

August 2017 - We've just waved goodbye to our tiniest ever guest - a tiny, 10 month old, chihuahua called Daisy. Understandably her mum and dad were anxious to leave her for the first time, but she soon settled in and spent many a happy hour in the evening curled up on Robin's lap in front of the telly. These beautiful photos are courtesy of Lisa Wilson who captured Daisy's glamorous side wonderfully!
"Happy paws is a wonderful place for your beloved doggy. Marian is a wonderful person who genuinely loves the dogs she looks after; they have all the home comforts of her lovely home and she follows your wishes to the letter. My 10 month chihuahua Daisy had a brilliant time and had some wonderful cuddles from her family and friends. I would highly recommend her."
August 2017 - We welcomed back James and Betsy for a 10 day stay - with lots of sniffing out of rabbits in the churchyard, a farewell dinner of veg, gravy and chicken on their last night with us, cuddles in bed at 6am (I'm sure these dogs can tell the time!) and a fun afternoon at Great Comberton show, fun was had all round with these two lovelies.
"They have loved their time with you. Both have been asleep most of the night. Tired out from the excitement of the week and the Comberton show today. They will be back for a visit and cuddles soon. Thank you Auntie Marian for all the fun James and Betsy. xx"
August 2017 - Out came the red carpet for the arrival of royalty recently; Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Betsy and our very own Prince Charming, James. But there were no airs or graces with these too, they soon settled in with us and made themselves at home in our castle.
"So pleased to have found Marian. Happy Paws provides a home from home for your dogs. We really missed our pups so Marian sent daily updates and photos which is so reassuring. Marian is a lovely lady and James and Betsy can't wait to stay again."
August 2017 - Two young cockers boarding with us for ten days - a definite recipe for fun and chaos!!
It was a real treat to have cockers back in the house, and in true cocker style, they were my two little shadows.
See you again soon Mylo and Lily (and don't worry I'll keep trying to hunt down whatever little creature keeps coming into our garden overnight because I know the smell of it was driving you two nuts every morning!!)

July 2017 - Understandably, Foxy's mum was quite anxious about entrusting the safety and wellbeing of her little boy with someone who was a complete stranger. We had an initial meeting where I explained how I would help Foxy to settle in and feel at home in his own time. During Foxy's 10 day stay with us, and being aware of how anxious his mum was, I sent her regular updates and photos to let her know that he'd had roast chicken dinners, played endlessly with tennis balls, been on some lovely walks in the woods and have course had continuous fuss and cuddles. I don't mind admitting that I fell head over heels for this little boy.
"We went on holiday for 10 days in July and had to find a dog sitter for the first time who wasn't family. We found Marian from Happy Paws Home Boarding from an advert on Facebook. I was a bit nervous and apprehensive but from the first conversation to first meet with Marian I felt a little better.
My husband dropped Foxy off (as I would cry) and throughout the holidays I was sent a picture of Foxy every day enjoying himself - I've never seen him so happy with a stranger.
I would recommend Marian every time - very professional and has a pure love for dogs.
PS I think Marian has made a friend for life in Foxy."

July 2017 - Our latest guests really prove that at Happy Paws Home Boarding we can cater for guests of all ages. Rosie is a 12 year old very mellow mature lady, whilst her 'sister' Pippin is an 18 month old bundle of energy. Rosie soon found a shady spot in our garden to call her own, where she could keep an eye on Pippin as she charged around the garden (although even Pippin had a rest on the sun lounger eventually).
"Just collected Rosie & Pippin from Marian where they have had a great relaxing weekend while we had a hectic fun filled weekend away with all the family. Would definitely recommend."
July 2017 - On one of the hottest days of the year so far, all Fudge and I needed was a gentle evening stroll, so here we are up by Woollas Hall. A beautiful walk until I spied the cows and then we felt it was time to return home to the paddling pool!
July 2017 - Bonnie, the Tibetan Terrier may have only been 5 months old but coming to stay with us for the weekend didn't phase her one bit - she had a fantastic time (well, apart from having to have a bath!):
"This was our first time using Happy Paws Home Boarding. A perfect friendly home for our dog to stay. Definitely recommend."
June 2017 - We couldn't have little Fudge melting during her stay with us so the paddling pool came out:
"Marian really does give a 'home from home experience'. The care and attention that she gave to Fudge was exceptional and I know that Fudge will happily return with tail wagging..."
June 2017 - Once a very scared little rescue dog, and now our fun loving champion garden digger - little Herb, who comes to stay with us at Happy Paws Home Boarding regularly:
"I have left my little rescue dog at Happy Paws Home Boarding many times and it's lovely to be able to leave him there and know he's being so well looked after. When we pull up outside he can't get out of the car quick enough, he gets so excited!"
May 2017 - Amber is a sweet little cocker who just adores lots of human company and who settled in really well at Happy Paws Home Boarding - a real little golden girl:
"Marian looked after my cocker spaniel like she was her own. I couldn't have been more pleased with the service."
May 2017 - It was very hot when the glamorous Taffy came to stay, however ice cubes and an afternoon siesta did the trick!
"Taffy bonded with Marian and I would thoroughly recommend her for holiday care - Taffy will be visiting again."
May 2017 - Bolli was 10 months old when she first came to stay with us so was a little unsure about being away from her mum and dad for the first time, however she soon settled in to our home and quickly became a member of the Happy Paws Home Boarding family:
"As first time 'parents' it was so comforting to get daily pictures and text messages from Marian and know our little one was so well cared for, stimulated and even taught new commands."
