Happy Paws Home Boarding is based in Bredon, near Tewkesbury and provides home from home boarding for small to medium sized dogs.COVID 19
DEFRA have provided home boarders with strict guidelines to ensure the safety of home boarders and their customers. At Happy Paws Home Boarding we follow these guidelines closely meaning that Meet & Greets are conducted outdoors, as is the dropping off and collection of our boarding dogs. Hygiene is also key so all toys on our premises are cleaned before the arrival of a new dog, and we use our own leads and food bowls to avoid any cross contamination, and as per the guidance of DEFRA we wipe over of each dog on their arrival to our home. Some of our customers choose to use masks when collecting and dropping off their dogs and we do encourage this. If you have plans to go away, and you are seeking a local licensed and insured, safe and secure ‘home from home’ for your dog please take a look at what we can offer your dog at Happy Paws Home Boarding. My name is Marian Wilson and I have lived in Bredon with my husband, Robin, now for over 12 years. We had a cocker spaniel, who we sadly lost to old age a few years ago, and during his time with us we felt strongly about not boarding him in kennels. He enjoyed human companionship and home comforts too much to be happy in a kennel for days or weeks at a time. Since then I have looked after much loved dogs belonging to friends and family and have given their owners peace of mind knowing that whilst they are away their dog is enjoying his or her holiday just as much as they are! In April 2017 I took this to the next level and became licenced as a home boarder and started Happy Paws Home Boarding. I have a genuine passion for dogs, having enjoyed dog grooming as a hobby, training my dog to Gold Good Citizen level, a limited experience of dog agility (my dog wasn’t really built for speed!), and attended dog behaviour seminars. At Happy Paws Home Boarding we only board one dog at any time, which I believe is a unique service locally. We pride ourselves in offering care to suit a dog's individual needs. We will keep to their usual feeding and bedtime routines, go on beautiful village strolls or countryside walks (depending on his/her ability), visit cafes or village pubs, have cuddles in front of the telly, offering your dog the prime spot in front of the woodburner on chilly evenings,or paddling pool fun on hot afternoons, and we’ll even let him/her lick out a yogurt pot if that’s what they enjoy at home. And if you allow it at home, your dog is very welcome to sleep on our bed with us, giving him or her reassurance that someone is nearby (of course all bed linen is changed when each dog finishes their holiday with us, ready for the arrival of our next guest). At Happy Paws Home Boarding Robin and I believe it’s not just about boarding – dogs deserve a happy holiday too. |
